Prayer

We believe that the heart of God is relationship, desiring that “all come to the knowledge of the truth,” and the heart of the Father who calls out to us, as deep calls to deep.  He has been and is initiating a relationship with us, calling out to us and drawing us all into union with Him. Even before we were born, He knew us.  Through the Holy Spirit’s work in us, we have direct access to the Father through prayer – talking with God.

At Cloud Walk, we seek to walk out John 10 – knowing The Shepherd, Christ Jesus, and recognizing His voice when He says go to the right or left (Isaiah 30: 21). He is calling us to serve others through listening prayer as a spiritual friend.  The goal is that we may know Him and live from heaven to earth (doing nothing but what the Father does, and speaking nothing but what we hear the Father say, as Jesus modeled for us).

Listening Prayer/Crafted Prayer

Individual

Communication by definition is two-way, talking and listening.   At Cloud Walk, we enjoy helping people to know the Lord better, discern His voice, and practice His presence.  We come to Him to worship and express our love, standing in awe of Him, His majesty, and looking to Him for anything He might want to share with us or say to us.   Our hearts desire is to help teach people discernment, recognizing His voice during the day and seeing His hand at work wherever we go and whatever we do.

Group

The model which God has given to us, based on what we see in Scripture in prayer, is based on coming to the Father to listen as a group, using collective discernment to discern what is on the Father’s heart for a specific season – developing a prayer, crafted over several times of waiting, listening, and gleaning from the prayer team (to ensure any emotions, personal bents, etc. are filtered out and we are close to what His heart is for us for the specific season of time). We also desire to help individuals and ministries learn to implement listening prayer into the regular part of their lives and ministries.

Personal Encouragement Prayer

When we pray for someone, we seek the Lord and His heart for that person.  I Corinthians 14:3 says that true prophecy is edification, exhortation and consolation. Our desire is to see from His perspective, and to know His heartbeat, desiring to share with the person that they would be built up, become more like Christ, and desire to know Him better (exalting Jesus).

We have planned out 12 prayer events for this year and are blessed to be led in this area  by Linda Harrington of Treasures of Life Ministry. During this prayer time,  we go before the Lord and ask for a Word of encouragement and edification for His children. This prayer time is open to all. Our group size each month ranges from 10-15 people. Couples are encouraged to come together. We also encourage small groups to come together for this prayer experience. Space is limited so registration is required in advance (use our interactive calendar to find a date and register).

Healing Prayer

During 2009, the Lord took us on the beginning of a longer journey to come in healing prayer, showing us a model through which to walk this out, and confirmed His desire that we are called to help others in this area.  We partner with healing prayer churches in the area including RiverStone Church.
